Girl, let me just tell you that as ratchet as you may think Love & Hip Hop ATL is, you honestly have no idea until you see it live and in action.
Last night, was the grand opening of Stevie J and Benzino‘s restaurant, Sleazy & Zino, and all of Atlanta came to celebrate. Towanda Braxton, Derek J, Kandi Burrus, Mama Dee, Shay, and Joseline Hernandez, Kirk were just a few celebs that werked the red carpet.
Stevie’s 12 member band performed, ‘The Magnificent 757s,’ and after a few songs things went downhill from there. Big Tigger comes on stage to talk to the crowd and to let everyone know that we were about to start filming. And the next thing I know a yelling match breaks out. And y’all know I’m short so I’m looking, standing on my tippy toes trying to see who in the hell it was. And I see Joseline’s friend (name unknown), Joseline, Mama Dee, and Shay exchanging words. I’m not sure what it was about.
Some say that Benzino’s fiancee’, Althea, was also involved but I didn’t see a fourth person, I just saw those three arguing. Joseline’s friend was doing it for the cameras. This chick would not stop arguing and she was doing the absolute most. Security came and still couldn’t diffuse the sitation. Then, behind me, production says, ‘Those are thirst monkeys over there,” pointing to Joseline’s friend.
Once things halfway calmed down, another incident breaks out in the back. Karlie Redd and Erica Dixon were talking and Benzino walks up and another argument breaks out. Then, next thing you know Benzino’s fiancee’ throws liquor on Karlie Redd. After that, I heard Benzino say, “Get that b&tch out of here,” and Karlie Redd was escorted out of the building.

When Benzino’s boo threw the drink, they say that Erica got hit with either the cup of liquor or the actual liquor itself. And then Scrappy went crazy.
Once I did get closer, I see Joseline’s friend making more commotion. I swear y’all…She wants a part of Love & Hip Hop. This chick was really being extra. This is the part I didn’t see but I did hear the commotion…Allegedly, Joseline’s friend got into a more heated argument with Shay and a bottle was thrown that left a cut on her forehead.

If you ask me, some of this was staged. As soon as Big Tigger told us the cameras were about to start rolling, that’s when people went crazy. And somehow Kirk got involved in it, and I’m sure that’s why production came and got him from where he was standing. I was right by him when production asked him to come over…
What can you expect? It’s the ratchet in ‘em.

Oh and Karlie Redd came by herself and completely avoided the red carpet, initially. She went through the back door…
Where was Rasheeda, Bambi, and Yung Joc (Karlie’s new boo and alleged new cast member)? Needless to say, Mimi didn’t make it.
Y’all remember Mary Jane from last season? The one that was in the hot tub with Kirk. Well, she was there with Shay, but wasn’t she supposed to be Bambi’s friend?
